ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Junior Training Expert II            position who meet the following requirements.

Job Summary

Junior Training Expert II is responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees. This role involves supporting senior trainers, preparing training materials, coordinating training sessions, and gathering feedback from participants. The Junior Training Expert contributes to the learning and development initiatives within the organization.

Duties and responsibilities

 

Training Support:

  • Assist in designing and developing training modules and materials under the guidance of senior trainers.
  • Prepare training materials, handouts, presentations, and multimedia content for training sessions.

Training Coordination:

  • Coordinate logistics for training programs, including scheduling, room setup, equipment preparation, and participant registration.
  • Ensure all training materials and resources are readily available for trainers and participants.

Training Delivery Assistance:

  • Support senior trainers during training sessions by facilitating group activities, discussions, and exercises.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support during virtual or technology-based training sessions.

Feedback Collection:

  • Gather feedback from training participants through surveys, evaluations, and verbal feedback.
  • Compile feedback data and assist in preparing reports to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of training attendance, feedback, and other relevant data.

Assist in preparing training reports, highlighting key metrics and participant engagement.

Specification:

Education and Work Experience

  • BA or MA degree in Education, Management, Law, International relations, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Science, Social work, Psychology. Or any other Social Science fields 
  • 4 years and Bachelor | 2 years in Masters.

Knowledge:

    • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest developments, trends, and best practices in the field of operational trainings.
    • Knowledge of electoral processes and election cycles
    • Familiarity with election Laws, regulations, guidelines and training manuals
    • Knowledge of election related software and relevant Microsoft office applications

Know-How (Skills) (Technical competencies):

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Training needs assessment methodologies.
  • Training coordination and facilitation techniques.
  • Training evaluation and feedback analysis technique.

Behavioural competencies:

    • A strong understanding of electoral processes and procedures
